B.A.B. GRAIN
AVERAGE PRICING PROGRAM
We are now beginning our 2026 average pricing program. The Corn program will run from May 5, 2026 – June 18, 2026. In most years, this is the best time frame to receive above-average prices for your grain. Last year’s average price was 4.405 CZ.
There will be two options:
- We will hedge December 2026 Corn. Equal amounts of contracted bushels will be sold every Tuesday and Thursday at the close of the Market. The producer will receive a Hedge to Arrive Contract with a 4-cent fee. The basis can be set at any time prior to delivery. HTA’s may also be rolled to pick up carries in the market.
OR
- We will sell cash priced corn for the future delivery period you choose. Equal amounts of cash contracted bushels will be sold every Tuesday and Thursday at the close of the Market. There is no charge for this option.
Corn will be hedged at the close of the market every Tuesday and Thursday for a total of 14 pricings.
Several delivery locations are offered: B.A.B. Grain, Waverly Rail, Decatur, St. Louis market and Picked-Up Bids.
If you are interested, please fill out the enclosed contract and get it back to us no later than Friday, April 24th, 2026. We will then mail you back a signed contract confirming the purchase. Please note, contracts are not valid until you have received a signed contract back from B.A.B. Grain.
